Frontier Ruckus
Frontier Ruckus
Since the release of their 2008 debut album, The Orion Songbook, Frontier Ruckus has gone on to become one of the most authentic and intimately cherished voices of Michigan life in the 21st century. Garnering a dedicated following across the United States and Europe through years of relentless touring, the band stands at the completion of its 5th LP—recorded in Nashville with Wilco founding member Ken Coomer on drums and production.

"Their songs are full of rich, rural details: frozen lakes, swaying trees, highway lights glowing in the deep night."
- Rolling Stone

"Frontier Ruckus brings a contemporary angle to its music—eschewing traditional tales of trains, whiskey, and rambling for reflections on suburbia, family and 'life on the edge of the interstate.'"
- NPR

"...one of the most interesting bands currently doing business in the Midwest."
- AllMusic

"...a level of top-notch songwriting most groups never attain on a greatest hits compilation."
- PopMatters

"...piercingly sincere portraits of romance and youth, ripe with close harmonies and meditations on complicated, tender love."
- CMJ

"...with lyrics as dense as a Faulkner novel and intricate arrangements that transform the typical Americana twang and faded pastoral preconceptions of folk/pop into something surreal and yet familiar."
- Paste Magazine
Avenhart
Avenhart is a Denver-based indie folk band that combines powerful harmonies and honest lyrics with the warm and rich sound of a six-piece string band. Situated firmly on top are deep, rich lead vocals sung directly from the soul.

Brought together by the music of Tony Rice and The Stanley Brothers, these six musicians set out to create original music that represents their own personal twist on folk and Americana. Using bluegrass instrumentation, they focus on intricate arrangements, warm harmonies, haunting melodies, heart-felt lyrics, and powerful vocals.
Paul Dehaven
