Phallic Meditation
Indulgent Lovecraftian Hypnorock
Raised on Nine Inch Nails and Pavement, Denver's Curta offer their second slab of indie hip-hop with Broken Machine. You like good music? So does instrumentalist/engineer Brent Larsen. His detailed soundscapes draw equally from Joy Division and Aphex Twin [or the Orb or who-the fuck-ever]. All would be just pretty (and dark) instrumentals were it not filtered through Jake Danna's sci-fi-is-now lyrical preoccupations, broken-brain beats and cracked sense of humor.

Together they're the soundtrack to Neuromancer. Together they're the music Harrison Ford listens to in Blade Runner. Together they're kind've exactly what you would hope to get when your kid goes to a liberal college.

Curta's special guests include hoosier rocker Brick Briscoe, Denver post-dance-rockers Champion and nerd-hop girlfriend-stealer Stash The Realist.

Curta has made the album a free / pay what you like type of jam. So, begin your risk free trial...
For fans of Tycho, Bonobo, Little People and Blue Sky Black Death. New album, Mysterious Myst, out now!! Ukulelebeats from Denver, CO. The goal is to take the listener on a musical vacation. The music is Inspired by ambient, downtempo and instrumental hip-hop, with focus on a live performance blending the ukulele with electronic beats. Each song in the live set is remixed with effects and blended with ukulele strings for a musical story. Just remember half caps when you spell the man's name...
