After spending the last couple years mastering the MPC 1000 he has began to develop a unique, signature sound. Just Enough Food's tracks often apply vintage samples to hard-hitting abstract hip-hop beats layered with melodic synthesized patterns. Becoming an avid record collector has inspired him to explore and arrange various musical textures which can be heard in his most recent production.
Just Enough Food has an abstract, distinct delivery which has been compared to the likes of Atmosphere & Brother Ali. Swinging back and forth between aggressive "anti-wack" status to emotionally captivating and elegant, his style is constantly evolving. Since hitting the local circuit in 2011 he has performed all over the midwest and joined forces with Toki Wright (Rhymesayers), Carnage the Executioner & Kristoff Krane on the Short Circuit Tour. He was also featured on the Rapfam Vol. 5 Mixtape in 2012, which included appearances from underground heavy-hitters Louis Logic & Sadistik.
Six O'clock has not only established himself as a well respected underground MC, he has also become a quality beat maker and studio engineer. Producing for several CO based artists when he is not working on his own material.
Currently with 4 albums and 6 mixtapes under his belt as a solo artist; not to mention the numerous group releases, features, and side projects he continues to deliver solid bodies of work year in and year out.
Collaborating and sharing the stage with countless artists from the Mile High City. Six has also shared the stage with some legends in the industry such as GZA, Slick Rick, Sadat X, Sunspot Jonz, Nappy Roots, and 2 Live Crew just to name a few.
Six has toured, travelled, and promoted his music for years and with a high energy live show and committed fan base he has no plans of stopping his grind. Stay tuned for his latest release...Night Shiftin 2: Live Life Where The Sky Ends...4/26/13...
Sarcast, even though still underground, feels he truly has been fulfilling his dream as an artist and has achieved things he never thought possible. Coming from his mother’s basement in Omaha NE as a teenager, to Denver CO opening up for major acts such as, Chamillionaire, Twista, Devin the Dude, B.O.B., Dizzy Wright, Krazie Bone, Jarren Benton, the Alkaholiks, Souls of Mischief, Lil' Flip, Blu, R.A. the RuggedMan, Prozak and many more.
The artist has also had the opportunity to travel to California to be involved in the MULA Team Backpack auditions, and has plans to attend next year as well. Another accomplishment Sarcast is proud of is being able to be a part of Denver’s 420 Cannabis Culture Music Festival, which is a huge event for the marijuana smokers of Colorado. 2014 he was offered to create his own fundraiser show for the festival, and helped to determine which independent artist would make the cut to perform for the festival. Sarcast was able to headline this year at the festival, right at 4:20pm in front of about 200,000 people, it was that moment he knew “the movement” he has been working toward all these years is actually becoming a reality.
& more recent Sarcast had the chance to travel to Austin, TX to perform at two different showcases at #SXSW2K15 the ColoradoMusicParty sponsored by SpokesBuzz & the FirstDirt #DOITour KickOff. The artist is receiving much love from all over world, from Brazil, China, Portugal, to the UK, his fans love the positive message he spreads through his music. You can also check out an article on Sarcast that was featured in Soul Central Magazine the July 2014 issue
What makes all of Sarcast accomplishments so rewarding is he has made it where he is today all on his own. Other artist have come and gone, but Sarcast knows exactly what he wants out of his career, and is not afraid to go out and get it. People often ask the artist how he has achieved all of this on his own, he simply replies “I just do it, when you want something bad enough you will figure out how to make it happen.” I believe this is just the beginning for Sarcast, and I look forward to seeing what the future holds for this up and coming artist.
