As pre-teens growing up in small-town Saint Joseph, Mo., brothers Darrion “Dee”, Isaiah and Solomon Radke enrolled in rock‘n’roll high school as their ticket out of Nowheresville. The brothers played their first show opening for Fishbone in 2011 and haven't looked back since. In 2013, the Cat & Mouse and Devil Fruit EPs took Radkey from sweaty backroom punk gigs to storming the UK's Download Festival and Riot Fest in the U.S. In 2015, Radkey enlisted Arctic Monkey's producer/mixer Ross Orton to produce their debut record, Delicious Rock Noise. The result was an across-the-board detonation of several shades of rock, punk and wild abandon –and riffs, riffs, riffs. Having kicked off 2018 with new music, Radkey’s sound has continued to expand and mature, reflected in the sleek guitar and growing bass on their new tracks "P.A.W." and “Spiders” It's a testament to the future of music, and the band is primed for rock and roll glory.
“By playing a retro style of hard rock/punk (while adding newer layers like sludge), the band is able to tune into an overall feel that hasn’t really existed since the dawn of Nirvana: seriously good rock that doesn’t take itself so seriously.” (New Noise)
One Flew West
Colorado pop/rockers, One Flew West, are back with their second EP, ‘Trial And Error’. After an extremely lucrative release of the lead single and title track, this is sure to be their biggest most impactful release to date. The track has been featured by notable publications including Alternative Press, idobi Radio, and New Noise Magazine as well as been added to Spotify-curated playlists The Scene and Pop Punk’s Not Dead among many others. The EP centers around the idea of honesty and not beating around the bush when it comes to one’s outlook on life. From saying “F*ck you!” to the bad things that are happening in society, to not giving up on your hopes and dreams, there’s a little something for everyone on this collection of punchy and succinct songs. One Flew West’s ‘Trial And Error’ represents a metamorphosis for the band. It appears that they’ve found their sweet spot sonically that uniquely falls somewhere between pop/punk and folk rock. After 2014’s ‘Kind Of Love’, 2015’s ‘Selective Memory EP’, 2017’s ‘All In My Head / Ten Years Later Split’, ‘Trial And Error’ comes at a crucial time for One Flew West who find themselves at a transition point and ready to take the next big step in their career.
Formed in the Summer of 2010 in the small town of Longmont, Colorado, One Flew West has grown from a high school garage band into a full-scale rock machine storming up and down the front range. Now based in Denver, the four-piece has made a lasting mark on the local music scene and look to make that mark on the national scene in the near future. Uniquely combining rock and roll with various aspects of folk, pop and punk rock, there are few bands out there that sound like One Flew West making it difficult to fill in the cliché definition of, "They sound like so-and-so". The band has been recognized by numerous Colorado-based radio stations and publications as a soon-to-break-out artist. Known for their high-energy live shows and multi-dimensional songwriting, One Flew West has built up a dedicated fan base and is on their way to the national touring circuit. Their Selective Memory EP came out in October of 2015 and instantly made a splash throughout Colorado and into the Rocky Mountain region. In the spring of 2017, the band released two singles, "All In My Head" and "Ten Years Later" to glowing reviews leaving fans and the community eager for more. Late 2017 will see the release of the first single from the One Flew West’s next EP, ‘Trial And Error’ - slated for a full release in early 2018.
And The Black Feathers
In an era of harmony, when music was written with love and innocence, bands backed up a great singer who could capture an audience's ear. Most frequently equated as a performer, rather than a song writer, these performers where hailed as kings and queens of their craft without writing a single song. Those days are dead and gone, but the band still plays on. These are the musicians whose names we never knew, and they are the black feathers.
